It's been a while since I've posted something significant... Let's catch up.
I got contacts a little over a week ago and I CAN SEE! It's nice. :)
I'm super, crazy excited about camp... The friends, the singing,
the fellowship, and I'm especially excited about spending a week with my amazing girl, Dana. :D It's gonna be so much fun. ^^ Dana and I have been going out for 18 days now, and it's easily the best relationship I've ever been in. She's amazing and I love talking to her and being with her. We have so much in common it's almost ridiculous. :) And we agree on everything it seems... Most importantly, she's a christian and we share the same values. I spent last weekend with her and it's the most fun I've had in who knows how long... I can't wait to be with her for a week straight next week. :] The week after camp, I'm gonna be going down to San Antonio to work
for a month or so. I'll be running cable through a new military
installation down there. Manual labor... My friend Shawn
will be going with me, and we'll be sharing a hotel room. We'll be
coming back home on the weekends, though. Hopefully it'll end up
being kinda fun.

Well, a couple nights ago, we had a bad storm. We actually had a tornado touch down in our neighborhood, which just happened to go right over our house... It had been storming pretty bad that night. We were under a severe weather and tornado watch. I was woken up by a neighbor's alarm system going off and was sitting on my bed looking out my window. It was about 3:45am. I was surprised to notice that it was very calm outside. No wind, rain, or lightning. I sat there for a few minutes - half asleep. The wind started to pick up some, and within 20 seconds or so, I couldn't see the house across from us on our street. I haven't seen anything like it. At the same time, the power goes out and it was pitch black except for the lightning strikes. I ran from my room and woke everyone up as quick as I could to get them downstairs. It was very loud, and quite frightening. After it passed us, we called people we knew in the immediate area to warn them. Once it calmed down outside, we went out to see what kind of damage it caused. The first thing we noticed was that we had lost our fence, which was laying in the yard. There were shingles everywhere - down the street and in the yard. Later, we noticed a shingle had flown into one of our windows and shattered it. Overall, we didn't have all that much damage compared to some of our neighbors. One of them actually had a fence on their roof... Luckily, nobody was hurt. It was an interesting experience to say the least.

Okay, it's been over a month since i blogged... I haven't been on much recently. A couple weeks ago I went to a birthday party for two friends in Ft. Worth. I stayed the night and went to the zoo the next day. It was a lot of fun. Except, that's the day I got a call that my dog had died while I was gone. I knew for a while it was coming, but it was still hard. But, it really helped being around all my friends, having fun. That made it a lot easier on me, and I'm thankful for that...

Well, I just got finished (mostly) with a 3 page paper for my biology class. It is entitled: "Evolution - License to Kill?" It only took me like all day. I still have to read an entire module and write out the study guide... >.<
So, I'm pretty much in writing mode right now. What better time to blog, right?
Not much has been going on lately. Buuuutttt, I did get an Xbox the other day. No, no. Not the 360. An Xbox. Old-skool style. So, I'm playing stuff like the original Halo, Jade Empire, etc. Pretty fun. It's just to hold me off till the 360 is in a price range I'm comfortable with. I'm not a big spender generally... Haha
That's all I can think of at the moment, and I really should get to work on that biology. Until next time...
